Problem-Oriented Laboratory for Instrumental Analysis

Introduction

This link takes the user to the homepage of a complete set of materials originally developed by George Wilson, Marc Anderson, and Craig Lunte at the University of Kansas for a completely problem-based laboratory experience for instrumental analysis. Beginning with a description of a real world analytical problem, student “companies” are formed that are tasked to solve the problem. Details include development and validation of an analytical method, communicating to the “client” with project proposals, interim progress and final reports, and a culminating poster presentation of results. All the materials necessary for a rapid implementation of an active learning laboratory of this kind are included here.
